The pitch

In 2011, a man broke into my house in northern Uganda with a pistol and orders to kill me. He is the nephew of Joseph Kony. He was dedicated to Satan at birth and trained in human sacrifice by one of Kony's top demonic agents.

Every time he tried, his finger froze on the trigger. He said he saw me surrounded by a wall of fire. He said he saw a snake slither toward me in bed and the blood of Jesus drive it back. He could not pull the trigger.

Today he works for me. He leads children out of the gang houses in Gulu at two in the morning.

I'm Stephanie Maier, director of Favor International. I oversee the ministry this man now serves, and I hold the publishing rights to the two books his story is documented in. Thirty testimonies. Every rights conversation runs through one office.

We're developing an eight-episode dramatic series from these stories. The Chosen meets Sicario. Raw. Christ-centered. Unflinching.

Thirty-five seconds

The tone of the show.

Thirty-five seconds of the visual language. No footage from the show exists yet. This is a tone piece.

Episode 1 · Pilot

Okelo

the nephew of Joseph Kony

Dedicated to Satan from birth. Abducted by Kony at twelve and trained in human sacrifice. Answering directly to one of Kony's top demonic operatives.

Given one assignment. Kill the American missionary.

He broke into her house more times than he could count. Every time, his finger froze on the trigger. Every time, he said he saw her surrounded by a wall of fire. Another night he watched a snake slither toward her in bed and the blood of Jesus drive it back.

Walking home from one of the failed attempts, he finally lets himself ask the question his handler has never allowed. Maybe I am serving the weaker god.

Today he walks into the deadliest gang territory around Gulu at two in the morning. Unarmed. Alone. Pulling children off the streets.

"I have to lead more people to Jesus than I killed for Satan."

Season One

Okelo is one of dozens. Season One hands you eight.

Episode 2 · Opio

Abducted from his grandmother's hut at fifteen. Made to drink human blood, wrapped in human intestines, marched thirty-five miles with a severed head. Four years in Kony's army. Escaped through a swamp and renounced the occult. Today he leads worship at a Spirit-filled church in Germany with his wife and three children.

Episode 3 · Achang

Abducted at fourteen with her twelve-year-old brother. Brother killed in battle. Raped daily. Fled into the bush when she overheard the soldiers decide to kill her because her body was "wasted and useless." Drawn to a mission house by the sound of worship music. Knelt in the doorway and said, "I want what's in this house."

Episode 4 · Shama

Fifty women in a South Sudan village plant peanuts. Cattle raiders destroy two harvests and slaughter two hundred of the village's youth at the water hole in retaliation. The women are forced to drink from that water, mixed with their children's blood, because it is the only source. They plant a third time. And then they go to the raiders' camp to preach.

Episode 5 · Salim

A terrorist imam in Khartoum who ordered Christians beaten, imprisoned, and executed. The same dream came to him four times: a figure standing in front of him saying, "Salim, you are on the wrong side." He fled to Juba. Heard the Gospel on the radio in Arabic. Today he baptizes twenty Muslims a week on the Chad border.

Episode 6 · Ochan

A Ugandan fighter pilot trained in Israel. Captured by Kony. Tortured, made to drink human blood, and broken into one of Kony's generals for twenty years. Released at sixty. Converted at a crusade in Gulu. Told Carole that Kony had said "the power has left me" on the exact week she led her first stadium prayer.

Episode 7 · The Kachipo Chief

Three American pastors and five Favor missionaries hike for days through lion and hyena country to reach a hidden jungle village on the Ethiopia border. The witch-doctor chief welcomes them with the words, "I had a dream two weeks ago. I saved you a chicken." Two weeks earlier. The exact days Favor was fasting in Juba.

Episode 8 · The Spear Master

A witch doctor in Wulu County chants curses from a treetop while sacrificial animals bleed out below him. The Favor team's translator turns out to be his biological grandson, a young man who has been praying for him in silence for years, without the old man ever knowing. A season finale about a family line, a territory, and the single confrontation that decides who rules them both.

There are more than thirty testimonies in the two published books. Every subject is alive or documented. Every rights conversation runs through one office.

The title

"For I will be a wall of fire around her, and I will be the glory in her midst."

Zechariah 2:5

This is the verse God gave our founder, Carole Ward, when she first walked into Africa. Twenty years later, the nephew of Joseph Kony walked into her house with a pistol, saw a literal wall of fire around her, and could not pull the trigger. That is the pilot.

Who you're making this with

Twenty-two years in the field. Two published books of testimony. Every rights conversation through one office.

Favor International is a faith-based nonprofit operating inside the places most organizations refuse to enter. The LRA territories of northern Uganda. The refugee camps of South Sudan. The Chad-Darfur border. Indigenous missionaries are the heroes of their own stories, and most of the subjects in the two books are on Favor's staff today.

Publishing rights: Favor International holds full rights to Send Me Where No One Wants to Go (2017) and Lord Send Us Where No One Wants to Go (2024). Life rights: every living subject is accessible through one ministry office. Chain of title: clean. No scattered heirs. No third-party agents. One meeting. One agreement. One signing party.
